Just a quick post, to share an article on mentoring relationships. I thought of it after I published my last post. It might just come in handy for me down the line.
An administrator working in Detroit has tips for keeping the mentor/mentee relationship fresh.
We settled on 11 topics, one per month, which became our monthly “Coffee with Your Mentor” focus. The final month we looked at our accomplishments for the year, goals for the following year and discussed how those topics helped us grow. Using this idea was an exciting way to keep the conversations from getting stale and focusing our calls on the business at hand, but still allowed us to openly transition the conversation to other areas.
